Special Moves

Every character has their own Special Moves in Grandia II.
And Tio has some good ones ^^

SP is Special Points. You lose different amount of SP when you use a Special Move, depending on which one you use.
You get back some SP when you do a Combo or Critical attack and when you get hit by an enemy. All your status including SP get full when you are at a Save Point and choose Recover.
After that you've learned a new Special Move, you can Level it up to max level 5.
To level up your moves, they require SC Special Coins. You get them when you win battles.


Lotus Flower
SP: 28
Lv 1/Learn: None, you have it when you get Tio.
Lv 2: 250 SC
Lv 3: 500 SC
Lv 4: 1000 SC
Lv 5: 2000 SC
Description: A splendid attack Cancel effect.
Enemy Line
Tio Says: 'Lotus Flower, bloom.'

Lotus Flower is a Cancel attack. (All character's first Special Move has cancel effect) Cancel attacks are great to do if your enemy is going to do an attack/magic spell you don't want to get hit of.
Lotus Flower can also target on more than one enemy. So Lotus Flower is a very good Special Move. It has helped me many times ^^

Fast Dance-Whirl
SP: 38
Lvl 1/Learn: 800 SC
Lvl 2: 400 SC
Lvl 3: 800 SC
Lvl 4: 1600 SC
Lvl 5: 3200 SC
Description: A legendary attack dance
One Foe
Tio Says: 'Here goes'

This one attacks only on one enemy.
I have to say that I love this one ^^
Tio attacks very cool and 3 Tio shadows are following her moves.

Tornado
SP: 48
Lvl 1/Learn: 1000 SC
Lvl 2: 500 SC
Lvl 3: 1000 SC
Lvl 4: 2000 SC
Lvl 5: 4000 SC
Description: A dance move that stops wind currents
All Foes
Tio Says: 'Whirly Swirl'

This move is a good one if you need to attack all your enemis at the same time. This is a 'Wind' Move and it looks almost the same as the Magic spell Howlnado.

Whisper of Stars
SP: 36
Lvl 1/Learn: 600 SC
Lvl 2: 300 SC
Lvl 3: 600 SC
Lvl 4: 1200 SC
Lvl 5: 2400 SC
Description: Power of stars raise all variable status
All Allies
Tio Says: 'Oh Stars above...Please listen, to my voice'

This one is very beautiful and cute. It's best to use it in the beginning of battles, and you have more use of it in Boss-battles.
Whisper of Stars gives you +1 in Movement, Defence, Action and Attack.
