story
Jin Kazama, child of Jun Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. Some time during The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2, Jun was killed by Ogre. Jin swore revenge upon the murderer. As his mother instructed, Jin went to his grandfather, Heihachi, seeing as how something had happened to her. Heihachi took Jin in and trained him the Mishima style art of Karate. Heihachi took notice to Jin's great power, and decided to use him to lure Ogre so that he may use Ogre create an all-powerful being. However, Jin possessed the Devil Gene, therefore Heihachi thought it best to rid himself of Jin after he had served his purpose. Sure enough, after Jin had defeated True Ogre, Heihachi shot down Jin. To Jin's fortune, the Devil Gene took over him and saved his life. (Devil) Jin then flew off into the unknown. After Heihachi's betrayal, Jin came to loathe and hate himself. He hated everything about his lineage, fighting style, and the Devil Gene that greatly burdens him. Jin went to a somewhat-isolated dojo in Brisbane, Australia. With the help of the dojo's master, Jin unlearned his old fighting style and mastered traditional karate. One day, Jin caught notice of The King of Iron Fist 4. He saw this as an oppurtunity to be rid of both his father and his grandfather. Unbeknownst to Jin, the tournament was a trap. Before the end of the tournament, the tekken force took down Jin and brought him to Hon Maru. Later on, after being chained up, Kazuya and Heihachi came into the building. Kazuya knocked Heihachi out temporarily so that he could unleash the devil within Jin. However, his plan back fired and Jin fought back and defeated him. Soon after, Heihachi regained conscience and took on Jin. He, too, was met with defeat. By that time, the devil gene had started taking over Jin. As he was about to finish off his grandfather, an image of Jun flashed through his mind, and Jin's desire to kill was vanquished. (In Japanese) Jin said to Heihachi, "You can thank my mother, Jun Kazama." and once again flew off into the night. Later, Jin awoke in a completely wrecked forest. He knew, without a doubt, that he was responsible for the destruction. After returning to Yakushima, he knew that he must somehow put an end to the evil spirit that plagued him. |
